Compare your options

Which furnace or processing route fits your application?

Start with the result your component needs. Then compare the process, material and configuration requirements.

Vacuum furnace and processing service comparison
Process routeMain purposeTypical starting pointConfirm before selection
Vacuum brazing Join components with a suitable filler metal.Aluminum, copper and stainless-steel assemblies; cold plates and heat exchangers.Base materials, filler, joint geometry, fixture and required joint quality.
Vacuum heat treatment Develop the required properties through a defined heating and cooling cycle.Tooling, dies and precision metal parts requiring hardening, annealing or tempering.Alloy grade, target properties, load size and cooling requirements.
Vacuum sintering Densify formed powder-metal or ceramic parts.Pressed powders, MIM feedstock and suitable ceramic materials.Powder or feedstock, binder removal, atmosphere, shrinkage and target density.
Processing services Outsource brazing or heat treatment for your components.Prototypes or production parts supplied with drawings and material requirements.Part quantity, drawing revision, process specification and acceptance criteria.

These are selection starting points. Material compatibility, working temperature, vacuum or gas conditions and usable load capacity must be confirmed for the selected configuration.

Start with your application

Define your process. Then select your system.

01 / PROCESS & MATERIAL

What needs to be processed?

Share the material grade, intended process and required result. For brazing, include the base materials, filler and joint design.

02 / WORKLOAD & PRODUCTION

What does the load look like?

Provide component dimensions, batch weight and production requirements, or identify the scale of your R&D work.

03 / EQUIPMENT OR SERVICE

How will the work be carried out?

Tell us whether you need an in-house furnace or processing support, together with drawings and available technical specifications.

Discuss working dimensions, temperature, vacuum or atmosphere, heating elements and the required furnace configuration with our technical team.

Capabilities & applications

From furnace configuration to component processing

Equipment configured for your process

SYNHTE designs and manufactures vacuum furnace systems for brazing, heat treatment and sintering. Processes include quenching, annealing, tempering, hardening, solution treatment, aging and high-temperature sintering.

Horizontal and vertical configurations support requirements from R&D to industrial production. Working dimensions, vacuum level, temperature, molybdenum or graphite heating elements, and hydrogen or inert-gas atmospheres are selected for the material and process.

Custom Processing Services

Heat treatment and vacuum brazing services support industrial components, including aluminum, copper, silver, stainless steel and other base materials. Brazing applications include water-cooled plates and heat exchangers.

Share drawings, material requirements and technical specifications for OEM processing, work with supplied or imported materials, or process research. Explore applications in aerospace, automotive, medical devices, metallurgy, electronics and advanced manufacturing.

Vacuum furnace purchasing questions

Clarify your process and project scope before comparing configurations.

Discuss Your Requirements →
Should I buy a furnace or use processing services?

Compare expected utilization, batch frequency, process control needs and the staff and utilities available at your site. Outsourcing can be a starting point for trials or work that does not justify a dedicated furnace. For recurring production, compare equipment ownership with the cost and logistics of external processing.

What information is needed for a quotation?

Send the material grade, part and fixture dimensions, batch weight, expected output and required process or result. Include drawings and acceptance criteria when available. For equipment, add your installation location and utility information; for processing services, add quantities and the requested delivery schedule.

Can one furnace handle brazing, heat treatment and sintering?

Some configurations can support more than one process, but a shared temperature range alone is not enough. Hot-zone materials, atmosphere, cooling, binder vapors and cleanliness requirements must all be compatible. Ask for a configuration review against every intended process before choosing a system.

How are working-zone size and temperature selected?

Size the usable zone around the complete load, including trays and fixtures, rather than the component alone. Select temperature, vacuum or process gas and cooling conditions from the material and process specification. Review these together with the selected furnace model and its operating limits.

What should be agreed before ordering?

Define the supplied configuration, usable work zone, utilities, process responsibilities and acceptance criteria in the technical agreement. Discuss the required test conditions, records, training and handover documents with the supplier before finalizing the order. Use measurable project requirements rather than a general performance statement.
